Join us for a day of coral restoration on the beautiful reefs of South Florida!
Learn about coral reef research and conservation while working alongside University of Miami scientists to restore local coral populations. Visit their underwater coral nursery to collect colonies and help plant these new corals onto wild reefs. This is your chance to dive into coral restoration with the University of Miami!
Expedition details:
• Half-day research expedition
• Includes two shallow-water dives (SCUBA or snorkel)
• Opportunities for Q&A with coral reef experts
• Snacks and water provided
• Gear not included
• 18+ years old
• Open Water certified (if diving)
• Dive logged within past 12 months (if diving)
• Strong swimming skills (if snorkeling)
We typically aim for 1-2 Rescue a Reef expeditions each month but scheduling can vary dependent on weather, staff, and boat availability.
